Vilma Cea is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT, with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Vilma has been providing therapeutic services to children, teens, adults and families since 2001. Vilma Cea strives to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to change and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams. Vilma Cea sees clients for a variety of reasons including eating disorders, behavior difficulties, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, life changes, etc.
Vilma Cea has a particular passion and expertise for working with teenagers as they struggle to define their identities, cope with the rapid physical, emotional and psychological changes that take place within themselves and adjust to the demands of peers, school, family and society. When seeing Teenagers, Vilma tends to work collaboratively with parents, the family, school counselors, pediatricians and others to provide an optimum level of care. Vilma incorporates a varying amount of family work when seeing adolescents as she finds this to be a powerful medium for lasting change.
